Nina Ayin Reimer is known for her Dolls For The Soul. Starting the early 1990’s the artist discovered she had a gift for sculpting portraits of people she had not met, but who ended up being recognized by those who saw her work. Soon she was creating what she called Intuitive Healing Dolls for people who came to her small gallery in search of something for relatives or friends who had lost a loved one or who had emotional issues for which they had not found healing by traditional methods. Educators, doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, alternative healers, artist, writers and more have been especially appreciative of the emotional, spiritual, and ancestral connections inspired by Ms. Reimer’s Intuitive Healing Dolls. “Her doll art looks like a beloved family album…” says one client. Indeed--family, friends and loved ones of every ethnic and spiritual background will recognize the realistic nature, healing energy and love inherent in the work. Anyone interested in art, healing, celebration, comfort or simply-- joy, will enjoy these deeply moving portraits. Nina’s Spirit dolls are a soul-filled dimension of her artistry as are her workshop offerings. Each work is individually hand-sculpted from polymer clay. A soft, yet strong body design with movable arms and legs, give each piece an adaptable stance. The dolls stand gracefully at 18” to 24’”on small pedestals. Each outfit is individually designed and sewn by the artist, and accessorized by hand-crafted jewelry. All of Ms. Reimer’s Dolls For The Soul are one-of-a-kind. A letter of authenticity written as a short, intuitive reading with an uplifting, spiritual and heart-warming message accompanies each Intuitive Healing Doll.
